About Me

Moulana Shahbaz Shaikh was born and raised in San Francisco, California. He attained his Masters of Science in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling in 2016 from San Francisco State University.

By the grace of Allah, Shahbaz studied the traditional Islamic sciences under Mufti Abdullah Nana for five years. After completing his university studies, Shahbaz traveled to New York where he spent one year furthering his Islamic studies at Darul Uloom New York. He completed his Islamic studies in Madrasa Arabia Islamia in South Africa where he attained Ijazah (certification) in the six major canonical books of Ahadith: Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawood, Jami Al-Tirmidhi, Sunan An-Nasa’i, Sunan Ibn Majah, and other major works such Muwatta, Sharh Ma’ani Al Athar, and Tafsir Baidawi. 



Shahbaz has a background working with individuals struggling with depression, suicidal ideation, relationship problems, anxiety, substance abuse and many other mental health issues.

Shahbaz combines the knowledge he has learned from the sacred Islamic sciences with the knowledge he has attained from the fields of psychology and counseling in order to deliver effective counseling to his clients.
